Ooooouch, so the 1st day of my second cycle started today so I rang the clinic to get booked in for my tests.
The lady who took my details said she could book in on Monday (today is Wednesday) I said that I thought the test was meant to neon day 2 or 3 but she said it could be done up to day 5 of the cycle. I then told her Monday was day 6! So she has double booked appts and squeezed me in to a morning slot on Friday.
I emailed my boss saying I’d need the morning off for blood tests and luckily he was fine with it.
Thankfully I have a a role in the NHS which allows me to work flexible hours, this is ideal when undergoing fertility treatment!
I’m open with my boss about asking for time off or putting in flexible working requests for medical requirements but I’m not sure I’m ready to explain exactly what they’re for yet. I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
So hopefully in a week or so I’ll know a bit about my fertility!
